West Austin real estate is composed of two of Austin’s most sought after neighborhoods-
Westlake and Tarrytown. Together, West Austin combines the best of what hill country and
lake views have to offer. The neighborhoods range from multi-acre lakefront properties,
golf communities, and luxury homes that enjoy the peace and tranquility of nature, while
being only a short drive to the amenities downtown has to offer.
TARRYTOWN
Tarrytown is a quaint town centrally located in the middle of Austin blending both
traditional and modern designs. Bordered by West 35th Street to the north, Enfield to the
south, MoPac to the east, and Lake Austin to the west, Tarrytown boasts convenience of
living in Central Austin. It’s variety of amenities, location, schools, and charm makes
Tarrytown one of the most expensive real estate areas in Austin. It truly embodies the
spirit of a little community within the big city.
The community is home to some of Austin’s “favorites”, including Deep Eddy Pool,
Laguna Gloria Art Museum, Mayfield Park, and Reed Park. Residents can also enjoy a
round of golf at Lions Municipal Golf Course, where pro golfer Ben Crenshaw plays, and
head down to Hula Hut and sip on margaritas on Lake Austin.
WESTLAKE HILLS
Westlake is a charming city that offers residents the beauty of the Hill Country and the
convenience to Austin’s urban core. One of Austin’s most prestigious and upscale real estate
markets, the area boasts beautiful homes, estates, unique sense of community, a recognized
school system, and lakeside mountains. Most homes in the area we built from the late 1970s to
current, and feature a variety of architectural styles. Westlake borders MoPac to the east, 620
to the west, Highway 71 to the south, and Lake Austin to the north.
The town is largely dedicated to parks and green space, most notably the Wild Basin Wilderness
Park, located on the city’s northwest corner. The city is also home to the Austin Country Club,
Barton Creek Resort and Spa, Barton Creek Greenbelt, and the 360 Bridge.
