Hi guys!! Ane with Hungry Girl Austin, checking in to share with you all the delicious things I ate this week! If you didn’t have a chance to check out my food lineup for ACL, make sure to do so as well before you head to weekend two of the festival!
Cauliflower Buffalo Pizza from Counter Culture
Whenever I get a pizza craving, but don’t want to feel like I’ve spent my calorie allotment for the day, I head over to Counter Culture on East Cesar Chavez for my pizza fix (everything is vegan, and this pizza can be made gluten-free!). I call them just about every Tuesday morning to see what the pizza special for the week is, and last week it was a cauliflower buffalo pizza!! It was incredibly delicious and filling, and the best part is that I didn’t feel the need to take a nap at my desk following my feast.
Tuna Tartare, Brussels Sprouts, and Baby Lettuce Salad from Perla’s
Just look at this spread!! I had lunch with my good friend Sarah who is moving to New York in the next few weeks. Now that the weather is getting a tad bit cooler, we took advantage and had lunch on the patio at Perla’s. We shared their tuna tartare, delicious wood grilled Brussels sprouts, and their Bluebonnet Farms baby lettuces salad. The best way to top off this meal is with one of their lovely rose wines, and their incredibly delicious hush puppies.
Shaved Veggie Salad from Trace at the W
One of my favorite places to go to, especially during ACL or SXSW, is Trace at the W Hotel. It’s great for people watching, and I love their locally sourced food!! I had a chance to go with friends earlier this week and enjoyed their light and delicious shaved veggie salad.
Chicken Mole Enchiladas from Hacienda de Guadalupe in San Miguel, Mexico
Last weekend, I snuck away to San Miguel de Allende Mexico for my cousin’s wedding. While there, I enjoyed a fabulous family lunch at the Hacienda de Guadalupe, a boutique hotel and restaurant that prides itself in serving some of the best interior Mexican food. Their chicken mole enchiladas are delicious, and look at that presentation! It was a shame to have been there for such a short period of time, but it was definitely worth the trip!
That’s it for this week, stay tuned for next week where I’ll highlight the best ACL eats that I enjoy this weekend. If you have any suggestions or comments, I’m all ears and appetite!
